It also announced a plan to work with South Korean steel giant POSCO for the production of battery cathode materials, and with Asahi Kasei to make separators. By handling everything from material development to vehicle assembly in Ontario - including bringing battery production in house and sourcing locally - Honda expects to reduce costs by more than 20% from current methods.

I suspect that lithium may come from other sources then E3.  The Fed's will incentivize the east before the west. I suspect we will have to bring our our product to market rather then the market coming to us. Maybe under a Conservative government we will have a chance. Definitely not under a Liberal.
