Why would management invest?

Basic business principles will tell you that you are not going to invest half a million dollars if the ship is sunk. No capable management team will throw away that kind of money unless there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

Because they charge themselves $100,000/month plus on rent. EVE does NOT own the land the greenhouses are on.  Basically they invested nothing of their own money ......
Comment by BobbIeheadbob on Dec 15, 2020 1:44pm
Could be as high or higher than 1/4 million on rent a month .....

Mel R scaped together $200,000. The other $350,000 came from undisclosed source. EVE won't tell us who. If it was "management" they would say. If there was a "light at end of the tunnel", RBC would have increased loan. This Emergency loan might be a last ditch effort..EGO/desparation driven? If EVE fails, where would Mel R go? Who would want her?
