where's the money Lebowski

where's the money LebowskiWhere's the money indeed. It's April now, and the joke is still on us. Beginning of the year  big rumours were out that Earthworks was finally going ahead, that it would get bought and Atkinson would be out. What a foolish delusion.
Not wanting to waste too much valuable time, I did look one day at the financials trying to figure out how much he's been paid over the years. There's the usual annual salary but also all the other usual obfuscations, so I lost interest; although I really did like the one year we spent 27,000 on computers. I can see that.  Much computation is needed to figure out how many holes haven't been dug (by humans) at Cortina. It's a number right on the outskirts of infinity.
Anyway, once again, let's not be fooled. Atkinson's been paid somewhere between 2.5 and 5 millon  to be less successful than a gopher. And the gopher, in its entirety, weighs about a fifth of the average human brain and he's out there right now digging away.
