RE:100-Million TONS High Grade Lithium Deposits
Its definitely been frustrating to watch a number of the other Lithium plays steal the spotlight from FL over the last 6 months. FL simply hasnt put enough emphasis on building its IR presence, and particularly havent been effective in creating awareness in the institutional community.
The non promotional go slow approach has hurt the market cap for sure and its been a tough train to be on.
HOWEVER. The results continue to deliver emphatically. It would seem where they are falling short on IR and institutional interest so far, they are ahead of the game on garnering support within both levels of the Canadian govt, and even leveraging the US / DND. Cleary FL's deposit is on many major corporates radars. Many of these large multinationals need government assurances and incentives to put deals together.
The news that Volkswagen has disclosed its seriously considering a push into ONTARIO is extremely interesting. FL has managed to prove the resource and get this far largely without any restricting off take deals or other encumberances. I have to think that FL are in the thick of any/all discussions with the bevy of multi nationals competing to be in a safe jurisdiction like Canada adjacent to what by almost every measure is proving to be a world class Lithium deposit.
Having Goldman and/or RBC involved and their respective Corp finance at the table negotiating and advising is no accident. The best part is, they largely have a blank slate to structure a deal for the long term.
For Trevor to come out and allude to approaching 100mm tonnes AHEAD of the imminent PFS is also not a coincidence. The pieces are coming together here.
What would a deal with one of these majors like Volkswagen or LG or similar look like ?? Perhaps the TESLA / Piedmont deal is a template ?
Pretty confident saying the stock wont be lagging if one of these come together.
BUCKLE UP. I think this is set to go off.
