FLYHT Aerospace Solutions Ltd. provides solutions for the aviation industry. The Company's aircraft certified hardware products include Automated Flight Information Reporting System (AFIRS), AFIRS Edge, Tropospheric Airborne Meteorological Data Reporting (TAMDAR) and FLYHT-WVSS-II. TAMDAR system is a sensor device installed on aircraft that captures temperature, atmospheric pressure, winds aloft, icing, turbulence, and relative humidity. FLYHT-WVSS-II is an externally mounted aircraft sensor that detects and reports water vapor as relative humidity. The Company's wholly owned subsidiary, CrossConsense, offers skilled services to the commercial aviation industry.

AF Plane Still Missing

Well it seems this particular plane did not have satelitte tracking , apparently it went off the radar screens soon
after started its crossing of the ATlantic as there is no 100% coverage as pointed out by cmir when using radar only . I guess it didn,t have either AFIRS, ACARS or anything else. The oil slick they found was a bogey , they really don't know where the plane actually went down as without satelitte tracking the search area is much too wide . I believe this fact alone would be cause for aviation authorities to re-think crossing the Atlantic without sateliite tracking on any commerical flight.
