RE: RE: RE: What is the reason for today's action?Long time AMA holders like me have  been jolted into the reality of the slow moving regulatory bodies in this industry
which is no doubt fraut with lobbyists who don't want change of any kind that will  burn another hole in thier pockets so don't expect these guys to come thru quickly years is probably a good guess. However I do see a potential ground swell of the flying public especially those who frequent overseas travel  who would pay the premium to have AFIRS on the planes they are flying in over ones who don't.  So it might happen without regulatory mandates . To me safety is the number catalyst to add AFIRS to existing and new( OEM)   planes period.
