RE: Why is management selling?Keep in mind that much of the compensation in these companies is given through options. In essence, the only way to "cash your paycheck" is to sell some stock that was granted through options at a lower price. Many times money is paid directly, but not necessarily in proportion to the time and talents of the people involved. The key to me, is your comment "steady selling in small lots". This sounds more like a steady plan to convert some portion into cash. I would be very concerned if multiple insiders were selling huge blocks. Interestingly I find that the only person with insider filings since Sept 15 is Sundar and he sold about 3000 shares in Sept, 3000 shares in Oct, and 9,000 shares in Nov, and still holds over 300,000 shares. And if good results come out soon, I would expect some additional options would get granted. So, going off of current insider filings to date, examining the last 60 days:
1) Only 1 insider is selling
2) A total of 15,000 shares
3) He still owns 300,000 shares
Could be that someone is just getting a little extra cash.
Now insider filings do not have to be as timely in this market as the US major markets, so there could be more hanging out there, but the insider filing list does show transactions through Nov 6 at this time with the most recent reporting date at Nov 21.
Without massive concentrated selling (or buying), coupled with timely reporting to the exchange, it is very difficult to draw any positive or negative conclusions, from this kind of data, that are more than an offhand guess (including the one I outlined above).
Good solid stock, with a steady stream of results in the que, and good management IHMO. I am happy being long, and I overweight this in my portfolio.
