RE:Grafraud and FMSFACT CHECK: Private investors have put money into Grafoid from the very begging. And that is why FMS owns only 18% at this point.
In what world does a start up doing R&D not need investor financing.
If you were a shareholder of Grafoid you would know that Jeff York (just like with Focus) has been the one putting his money where his mouth is.
What actually matters?
The investment by Focus into Grafoid (a privately held company) has resulted in the following:
An 18% interest in the development of cutting-edge graphene technology. Please see the link below that shows how what they are doing. The have the US DOD testing their product (under the brand Purafy along with many other game changing deals in the works. When the company goes public in the near future it will provide a windfall for Focus shareholders.
Quote from the website: “Purafy is profiled as one of four cleantech start-ups that are making the planet a priority in The Spark Magazine.”
https://purafy.com/purafy-in-the-news/ Actually, the original ownership was 60% founders and 40% Focus. If you know of a startup where the founders didn’t want shares, please lmk. Like all tech start ups Grafoid has relied on PP to fund it’s R&D and that is why the founders (including FSM) have had a proportionately equal reduction in ownership (with the exception of Jeff who stepped up to the plate and lent money as well bought more shares when the company really needed it.
The facts should always be supported by evidence. I attached the financials of Focus for the years ended 2011 and 2012 (the first time Grafoid appears) Page 11:
“The subsidiaries of the Company at September 30, 2012 and their principal activities are described below: Name of subsidiary Place of incorporation Ownership interest Principal activity 3765351 Canada Inc. Canada 100% Holding Company Grafoid Inc. (1) Canada 40% Research and development.”
