Fancamp Exploration Ltd > We need a Champion!

We need a Champion!

Instead of choosing between two evils, I would gladly cheer for a white knight and happily welcome a purchase offer from Champion (CIA), even an hostile takeover.

Champion would get back the CIA shares Fancamp owns for cancellation, together with our royalty on their lands, and add our iron ore to their growing presence in the area. It could then create two new junior companies, one for the development of our gold assets, the other looking after all our other metals assets. More clearly defined, these new entities would get deserved attention from the market.

A win-win solution. So much that I do not understand why Champion, as the biggest Fancamp shareholder, it letting this circus take place. It is hurting my image of Champion in many ways. First, as the big guy out there, they are passively involved in this mess and oddly doing nothing. Second, they should recognize a good deal when they see one and act accordingly.

I do not own shares in Champion and therefore do not feel comfortable posting on CIA board. I do not know if any CIA shareholder is following our board, as part of normal due diligence for an investment in Champion. Should it be the case, I am curious to see if my post here will find any echo on the Champion board.

Fancamp assets are valuable and just need to be sorted out in the proper way. I can't believe authorities will let these be ruined by old tactics from another time, tactics which led many potential investors to turn their back to the mining sector altogether.

No, cia doesn't follow the Fancamp board. No cia doesn't follow the cia board. No cia doesn't give a rat's a$$ about fnc. Try contacting CIA management directly rather than a passive aggressive post on a penny ante social media board like sh!thouse. I have been begging them to do the same for over a year. Good luck.  Michael Marcotte, CFA  Vice-president Investor ...more

...and you call my post passive agressive... though you whole-heartedly agree with my point that CIA's attitude is intriguing. Maybe, just maybe, the situation has changed since you tried in last year to contact them. By the way, what exactly were you realistically expecting CIA management to tell you? Did you find them passive-agressive for some reason? I do thank Stockhouse (you mispelled ...more

Nope, I'm just aggressive and they are just passive. I've asked him about fnc at least 5 times. He's made it clear as recently as this year they are uninterested. By all means, I invite you to try. But I also know he doesn't read sh!thouse boards or bath stall walls. So you have to contact him directly.

Perhaps Champion management realize the merits of the deal.  Most of Fancamps exploration properties are so grassroots that the market was paying less than nothing for them.  Some would term them moose pasture.

Maybe, but I doubt they're interested in adding a worthless pos low grade low tonnage high cost zinc mine to the moose pasture and stupid science projects.  If anybody bids 10 cents cash they will get CIA block and most if not all the rest of it.  Nobody wants to trade dead money paper for total pos cr@p paper. That's why it isn't going to a vote. No way it would pass. quote ...more

You should read the Scozinc PFS.  At current zinc and lead prices it will be a very profitable low cost  (all in sustaining costs of $0.59/lb) mine.  At an 8% discount rate, the NPV is $156 million and the IRR 52%.  The PFS was base on zinc concentrate TC's of $250/tinne, current spot TC's are $70/t and benchmark TC's, currently $300/t are expected by industry ...more

Yeah, I'm too old to believe that. What's your next hot tip, the caribou mine? Is PFS an even more vulgar acronym than pos maybe?
