BIG BERTHA ARRIVED---To test DEPTHThere were 3 drill rigs on site Jan. 10th. The old, old original rig, plus two "new" but still OLD rigs!!!
For years & years, going back to the early 1990's when Michael Levinson, God Bless Him, was alive and
well & running the show at GCU, I was always asking him two things:
(1) Why are you drilling on the land portion??? You are drilling it like sliced cheese!!! I understand that
you are drilling for rich gold veins!
(at that time, Main & Camp Zones---gold was cheap back then and
hence low grade open pit gold was out of fashion--non economical)
I got interested in Springpole because of it's history---and you Michael, told me that there were
1.5 Million ounces of gold under the lake!!! Why don't you drill out on the ice like before, and prove
up ounces for the first NI 43-101???!!!
Always a Winter Drill Programme, but never did he go out and drill where I wanted!!!
(2) Why, Michael, don't you drill deeper Holes? We need deeper drilling---how come we don"t do it?
Michael, is there something wrong with our drill rig? Why don't you get a good new one??
Well people---
I was fairlly new to the game of exploration, but was convinced, because of following the Goldcorp,
Red Lake story, that the real good gold was deeper down than where GCU was drilling.
ANYWAYS----fast forward to 2011----
It's funny, in that GCU still has that original old rig, which I "hated"--and now two more but old, and of
the same type!!!
For different reasons now, but it is strange & brings back memories to me----FINALLY----
GCU is not only drilling out on the lake---BUT---hurrah, finally we are getting a drill rig that can drill
deeper, MUCH DEEPER---wow 1,000 meters. Yes, my dreams have finally been answered!!!!!
So I have decided to give the new drill rig a name---BIG BERTHA---to distunguish it from the other
three "shallower drilling rigs".
So, SCOUTAZ---you asked & here is my reply
Let's review the past NR's on drill results---because you have the right idea.

Discussion of above and observations----this is what I mean when said previously "extrapolate"
As you can see, the number of hole cores finished and sent into the lab are piling up awaiting assay,
and by definition, announcment in a news release.
Also, all of the holes so far are by plan shallow infill holes drilled out on the lake. One old rig was moved
to work on step-out work after about March 1, hence hole # 39 announced Mar. 15, then it did hole #46,
which I think is going to be announced ANYTIME NOW!!! Then, it is drilling another even further out hole
# 50 (a further 100 meters out from #46) which I think is completed and sent in for assay. now this rig
is drilling the next stepout hole even further out--another 200 meters from # 50!!!! WOW.
Like I said hole # 46 could be released very soon----and hopefully hole #50 on March 29---Yup, Scoutaz's
famous 2 week theory.
It looks like every two weeks 5 to maybe 6 holes are being drilled. It depends on drilling conditions and
the depth of the drilling.
Now, taaa-daaah, we have the mush anticipated BIG BERTHA drilling a deep hole---YES!!!
"She" can drill down to 1,000 meters!!! However; she will NOT be used at this time to drill down
straight vertically---INSTEAD---BIG BERTHA will drill probably at an angle of 40 to 45 degrees, starting
on land from the LEFT side of Springpole Lake---right under said lake and end up at the other side of
the lake---hopefully---wiich will maximize the drilling compacity of 1,000 meters!!!
This means that the DEPTH of the PORTAGE ZONE will be tested to a depth of 700 meters---basically
DOUBLE the DEPTH already established by previously and CONTINUING infill drilling--ALL OF WHICH
due to the limited capacity of the other rigs---have ENDED UP FINISHING IN MINERALIZATION!!!!
Quinten says this type of deposit can go down to 1,000 meters OR MORE----but for NOW---hopefully
successful, this will be BASICALLY TWICE THE KNOWN DEPTH---Guess what that will do to the SHARE
PRICE?
I think the plan is to then move BIG BERTHA to the other side of Springpole Lake and drill at the same
angle from the right side of the lake angling down and ending up on the other side, the left side.
Thus this will provide a crossing pattern (geologists probably have a nice technical term for this)
under the lake.
Also, by definition, this patern will test and hopefully add to the WIDTH of the Portage Zone as well--BONUS!!
Yes people---WE ARE IN FOR EXCITING TIMES----HOLD ON TO YOUR SEAT!!!!
Question is, as my 'buddy Scoutaz asked, "Are we there yet? When will the first BIG BERTHA HOLE be
released?" That is a Great question.
Well it will obviously take longer to assay than the other holes since it is much longer in lenght---BUT---
You have to realize that GCU doesn't wait for the full hole to be completed before sending it off to be
assayed---in fact the hole is sent off to the lab in sections as the hole is being drilled---makes sense,
because of the first come, first served rule.
However; if successful, and let's face it, the depth WILL be proven to go deeper---the only real question is how
much deeper---the stock price will EXPLODE UPWARDS!!! And like I've said many times before, Quinten
and AKIKO and the reat of the great GCU team are not only extremely excited (and rightfully so), they are
AGRESSIVE, VERY AGRESSIVE, and want to fast-track development of this deposit as fast as possible,
especially as the winter drilling season is fast coming to a close. Hence I believe, and this is only an
educated GUESS by ME, unsubstantuated by proven fact, that GCU might pay the extra to the assay lab
to put a "RUSH ORDER" on the assay hole of BIG BERTHA.
So Scoutaz, it could be announced at the end of March---BUT probably it will be in early APRIL.
That is why I advise to be positioned well in GCU and stay in the market---don't try to time the share price
and sell in and out--awaiting for a pullback etc.---don't outsmart yourself---the news release can come at any
time---or there could be I think another totally different type of news release, a surprize one so to speak that
shoots up the share price!! Stay tuned---because---
YOU NEVER KNOW----believe me these are exciting times.

P.S. At one time believe it or not, and to set the record straight, GCU's share price actually hit a HIGH
