Watch Out-Weather--a Real ZINGER!!!Why is it that we tend to forget about weather, and weather patterns?
It can certainly can, and does, dramatically affect the POG, and our share price---directly and indirectly!
My few followers here, O.K. very few, I heard that!!! Alright, now 3 avid followers (happy now?) might
remember my post on the forest fire threat, and the consequences.
Now someone, today, on StockHouse is commenting on watching the upcoming Weather, Monsoon
season in India, and it's effect on the POG.
People should pay closer attention to weather patterns---but it seems that they have short memories,
and either take the weather for granted, or ignore it, until it is too late.
SO
Let me be the first to WARN you of the up coming potentially disasterous situation, fast approaching!
Please don't laugh when I tell you, because I am DEADLY SERIOUS.
Weather patterns, according to the news reports are changing rapidly around the world---for the worse!!
Having been in the Vacation Discount Travel Industry, for close to 40 years, I knoweth, for once,
about what I'm talking about. Surprise, surprise, SURPRISE!!!!
If you look at the calendar, you will note that we are going into the last week of August.
Most people are busy doing other things---back to school preparations, taking the last shot at a Summer
Vacation etc.----for those in Ontario, heck-----the CNE has already started, which is always a reminder,
a slap in the face actually, that the summer is almost over.
What it also marks, believe it or not, is the START of the STORM SEASON, in the Caribbean.
In fact the 11th. identified and named tropical depression is already about to touch Florida.
Storm Season is a nice and 'acceptable' way of saying HURRICANE SEASON.
Now, not all tropical storms turn into Hurricanes.
BUT in RECENT years, the number of both tropical storms have increased significantly.
Moreover; their severity, and also the number of Hurricanes has also increased---and in SIZE as well.
If you don't think that there won't be any category 5 HurricaneS (note my emphasis on the plural form)
you are INMO----CRAZY!!!!
You may say, so what? Big (and small for that matter) Hurricanes can and usually are devastating.
AND, the VAST MAJORITY of them, although unpredictable, end up somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico.
Where are most of the oil drilling rigs? Remember Katrina----most people don't want to.
We were rather lucky, last year-----BUT mark my WORD----we are WAY OVER DUE for a FEW MAJOR ONES!
For the record, Hurricane Season has tended to start earlier and earlier in recent years----and----
Hurricane Season lasts to about early to mid December.
Remember, you have been warned, and that you heard it here FIRST!!!
