Keith Barron completed his Ph.D. study at the University of Western Ontario in 1996 entitled "The Nature and Significance of Alkaline Rocks at the Springpole Gold Prospect, NW Ontario".

More recently, Dr. Hennigh has acted as advisor to Gold Canyon Resources since 2009, where he helped refocus exploration at the Company’s Springpole Gold Project in Ontario. He earned a M.Sc. and a Ph.D in geology and geochemistry from the Colorado School of Mines in 1993 and 1996, respectively.

Interesting that both guys, who were probably thinking along the same lines geologically (alkaline rocks) at the same time, got their Ph.D’s at the same time (1996), and would indirectly become involved with Gold Canyon.

Did Quentin read Keith Barron’s report first, before he became involved with Gold Canyon?

Also, I don’t know if Quentin Hennigh was thinking about Springpole Lake at the time (1993 to 1996), when he got his Ph.D. Quentin may probably was more involved with the Cripple Creek area in Wyoming, which also has alkaline rocks (and gold deposits). Perhaps Quentin wasn’t even aware of Springpole Lake in 1996.

Keith Barron became involved with Aurelian Resources, did well, and I haven’t followed him since.

I often wonder if these 2 guys have ever met, and if so, when was the first time?

Previous companies, who worked on Springpole Lake before 1996, I don’t believe had the alkaline intrusive rock ‘model’ as a host for gold. I could be wrong.

Just my thoughts!!
