Promising news!!

Hello, all:

Barnbreath (a former poster on this board who no longer has the ability to post due to computer problems) was kind enough to email me a link to an article from the Sioux Lookout Bulletin (May 30th, 2012 edition). I am attaching a link to the article and highly recommend that you take a look at it (it's short), if you have not already come across it in your thirst for news on GCU.

In essence, the article discusses the three (3) native bands who have overlapping claims to the Springpole lands. It appears that the said native bands have decided to come together to speak as a unified voice in terms of negotiations with GCU. Moreover, the natives speak very favourably about their dealings with GCU thus far, as the article clearly demonstrates.

I particularly draw your attention to the front page of the news paper. The article starts there, and is continued on page 6. The heading of the article (which is found just underneath the headline picture of a waterbomber) is entitled, "Cat Lake, Slate Falls and Lac Seul First Nations Working Together in dealings with Exploration Companies." GCU is mentioned numerous times in that article, always in a very favourable light.

This, to me, demonstrates a significant, further de-risking of our project and, in my humble opinion, bodes well for any future negotiations we will enter into with the natives, all else being equal. But don't take my word for it - see for yourselves. Here's the link to the online paper and article therein:

Cheers, and a very special thanks to Barnbreath,

You make a very valued point.  And that story about his computer ,,,,,,,,   come on you believe that! This is the year 2012 you can get on the net with a cell phone, IPad etc.  Go to the library or a friends house.   I think he got muzzled  by someone...   IMHO

Great post. Thanks. I had heard mention of good relations and progress. This is very positive. IMHO. Agree with the other poster that lack of access to the net is implausible.

The news may sound promissing but thanks. I have had too many dealings with them and am getting out, now that I know of them being involved. There will likely be future hassles all the way hence. Thanks

@ pizza (re Barnbreath):  You're right; it isn't actually a "computer" problem but rather it is a Stockhouse problem.  He can read the posts on the board, he has no problem with the interent, can send / receive emails, etc.  But for some strange reason, he cannot post anymore.    Trust me, Barn is alive and well.  If anyone would like to contact him, ...more
