Meeting with Akiko and Troy

Hi Fellow GCU longs, I have owned a significant posiion with GCU for the last 3 years and hae allways apprecated the thoughtful comments and opinions expressed on this board.

I attended a presentation by Troy and Akiko on Friday afternoon and left the meeting more confidentof my investment then I already was.  Lots of facts were reviewed but more importantly, both Troy and Akiko spoke very candidly about the "asset" as they called it.  One very significant thing we learned was that before accepting the CEO position, Troy looked at over 60 companies and recieved over 20 offers.  With his background and proven success, I would tend to trust his judgement in choosing GCU over the rest.

Troy and Akiko acknowledged that a better job could have been done in communicating the developments to the overall market and that a "very experienced" marketing person is about o come on board.  It's my impression that they got this message loud and clear fromall the shareholders they met with last week.  Troy has an extensive travel schedule to engage with the marketplace and do what he does best.  He also expressed that there are a good number of major US investors that have expressed an interest in taking a large position of GCU, and that he and his team will coordinate them with any current large-position holders who may wish to sell and take their gains.

They also touched on the rare-earth property in Malawi and from what they showed us, the indications are that this could be a significant asset to Gold Canyonand possibly if moniterized, would provide ample financing for production of Springhole.

Oh yah and the "water thing" some are concerned about, Troy made it crystal clear that the area that will need to be drained represents only 15% of the lake and is a very shallow part.  The cofferdam procedure that they are using has been successfully used in far larger bodies of water.  Both he and Akiko expressed no concerns what-so-ever on this issue.

One last thing, they told us that there will be one more drilling result announced by the end of the year.

GLTA and Keep the faith all, good things come to the patient investors who wait!  IMHO

Informative report nobull. Just curious which presentation did you attend and was it only for retail shareholders? I wasn't aware of this, i thought they were just meeting some big wigs here in Toronto. thanks.

"One very significant thing we learned was that before accepting the CEO position, Troy looked at over 60 companies and recieved over 20 offers." I knew that Fierro was a great coup for GCU and was really wondering, why the market so far has not at all been reacting on this coup, but this is stunning news. Wow! "Oh yah and the "water thing" some are concerned about, Troy ...more

This was a meeting set up by my broker with about 30 people in the room.  You are right, they met with the big boys prior.

GOG and you keep posting nonsense about a company you don't like....might you have an agenda??    Or a past preceived slight by the company??  No not you....

GOG, you continue to give credence to the word "idiotic" by your ongoing inept postings.  Your motivations are clear to all.

GOG, sorry to use words you may not understand....."Inept" dictionary definition is as follows: 1. Not apt or fitting; inappropriate. 2. a. Displaying a lack of judgment, sense, or reason; foolish: an inept remark. b. Bungling or clumsy; incompetent: inept handling of the account. Hope this helps!

Interesting comments considering when I called the office they have no recollection of any private broker visit. They say they're open to setting one up when they have time so feel free to follow through on your fantasy:) I could search the web for some bug words to describe your actions but why when the word sad fits the bill. Keep pumping...........................the stock that is.
