Gold Canyon Resources Inc > declining stock price

declining stock price

is selffulfilling in several ways

  • stop losses being hit
  • people who bought on margin need to pay up or sell
  • locking in declining profits by early buyers

this can lead to surreal stockprice, take advantage of it. It happens all the time... Don't forget to sell a few when it spikes... (advice i tend to ignore myself too many times lol)

GCU is now in absurd territory and i am a buyer again at this level  (already have a few shares)

cruisie -- excellent post. "selffilling." Indeed. Of everything said on this board, hopefully management and the board will read your post and pay more attention to the SP as an asset in itself.

I doubt this stock is marginable or there are any margin calls related thereto. People want out for some reason. Look at PRB..traded at $1 for awhile, now over $2. GCU is a double in the next 6 months..need news and management to respect investors positions (i.e. by not paying attention to day to day share price, they may have difficulty rasing money in the future).

Looks like a large seller is getting out or reducing their position under Anonymous. If you look Anonymous is trying to hold the price up at $0.82 while selling at $0.83. Just a guess on my part. I haven't been in GCU since a long time now, but may be looking to buy when the dust settles. Most junior golds are down today, even with the POG up a good chunk. atb Recent Trades ...more

I thought about another PP coming up shortly as well. By my numbers, they are probably due for one pretty soon. Their last PP last June 2012 raised about $15M. That's approx a burn rate of $2.17M per month. Do your own DD. Thanks.

Diabase, did you listen to the DR presentation? Troy talked about the present cash position and the issue of financing. Regarding the share price drop, I would not rule out the possibility of a hostile takeover attempt. If for example a company attempted a friendly takeover when GCU was 1.80 and GCU management declined then it would suit the acquirer to crush the market cap of GCU. This would ...more
