Curious

To return for a moment from Seabridge board...   Today was another odd day. The trading in this name just gets "curiouser and curiouser," to quote Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.. Someone or some company seems to be slowly and methodically accumulating the shares available on each day at a desired price, regardless of the day-to-day chart oscillation for Au and Ag, and in professional-looking way that seems designed to not push up the forward price too quickly. I don't claim to be smart enough to know who, what or why, or if that theory is true, but I can read the surface of a lake and know what it means when you see rings on the water. So I have been accumulating (in my own small way) since the distress selling became obvious in December. Also, we have small to modest buys from insiders that -- well, does anyone know how many years it has been since those individuals purchased a single share on the open market? Has a producer quietly taken interest? Is it lower oil prices making a pit seem more attractive? Did someone take a new look at the data and find a way to bootstrap a mine from a high-grade starter pit? Is there some other development that's not public?  Are aliens buying? REEs in Africa...doubtful. There has been no drill program in Ontario since I can remember and I doubt that the esteemed Dr. Henning has been out at Springpole knocking off surface samples with a rock hammer (although high-grade surface samples, as I recall, are what caused a 3x spike in summer of 2007). It's all just too curious, the word on the street seems curiously absent, and so I do keep an eye out in the morning hours for a news release.

No I was referring to GCU. I did not want to participate in people pumping an unrelated company on this board. Where I come from they still call that SPAM, and anyone who thinks that kind of BS could convince anyone to buy a single share of stock is smoking some pyrite powder.

Bird Brain. Keep accumulating. Good for us longs. LMAO. I don't have enough cash to take the whole float. Take more shares for the team. If the thing pops we will laugh all the way to the bank and the former Mr. Pine Bush will soil his britches so loudly that you'll hear it from Bay Street to the Vancouver Club.

If they are not about to soon be acquired, then "the esteemed Dr Henning" as well as his friend Moriarty might simply be hyping the company to help it out.  As you mention, no drilling is expected this year. Just the start of permitting, and maybe the building of a road. The stock is cheap, and the stock has no other catalyst in the near-future (save its cheapness) that should ...more

I agreeBbenandemmiboo, the stock´s trading is curious. However, it´s been suggested by some that a turnaround with regards to the way majors are valuating and looking at Juniors is imminent. The last few years have been disastrous for junior miners with lots of bankruptcies and lower than low sp´s. It now seems imminent that majors need robust gold bearing properties to add to ...more
