DIAMONDS...

DIAMONDS...GEM does show diamonds with in it's Corp Presentation
Whether they're headed in that direction remains to be seen.
Would be wonderful if they did.

Former Post
I see there's a missing weblink
Comparing CVD  vs  HPHT diamonds.

Here's a great writeup comparing each lab method.

CVD - Carbon gas   ( layering )
HPHT - Graphite Carbon ( high preasure natural graphite )

What's better: CVD or HPHT diamonds?

You will not be able to tell the difference between a CVD and HPHT diamond with the naked eye. Both methods can create a beautiful, sparkling diamond. Both the CVD method and the HPHT method will create a real diamond that is optically, chemically, and physically identical to earth-grown diamonds.

I like the aspect of, HPHT can creat colored diamonds. ( not dark, but slight hues )

Years back i bought an expensive ( hearts and arrows ) diamond.
Top of the line - what attracted me ?
besides it's clarity... it was the brilliant tinge of blue with fire and ice sparkle.

The most common HPHT equipment is the 'cubic press' - a huge machine that utilises six hydraulic anvils to put pressure onto the reaction cell where the laboratory-grown diamond grows.

CVD diamonds ( gas vapor dismonds ( are not suited ) for industrial applicationd.
Diamond utting saws
Drill Bits

While HPHT are suited.  There you go, graphite diamonds ( jewelry or industrial )
Larger Markets

HPHT diamonds are popular in fine jewelry due to their natural-like characteristics and unique colourations. Industrial Tools: HPHT diamonds find applications in industrial tools and equipment, including drill bits and saw blades, owing to their hardness and durability.May 28, 2024

Why cover this topic ?
I was thinking along the lines of, diamond boron doped chips.

HPHT graphite diamond are inhersntly with, boron.
Add a tad more boron = diamond conducting chips.

US - China carbon + chip  trade wars.
Acts as a defence leaving Canada wide open to make their own.
After all... Canada has the graphite.
US wants it.

Why emulate NOU ?
GEM walking it's own path ( chips, semiconductors ) would surpass NOU's
simple carbon concentrate.  Making diamond chips doesn't require large tonnage
volume. 1/g to 1/g ration per diamond carot.

GEM simply hires a chip techie.

Ideas....
