The author notes that the firm is trading at a low valuation compared to peers of the same size, and that it is growing fast as newly acquired properties ramp up over the next few years. The author discusses their business model, which has been to buy small operations using the cash flow from their original mine which is close to being depleted. There is less competition for small acquisitions. The author also discusses the possibility of mine lives being extended by drilling, and how strategically it doesn't really make sense to spend capital on drilling until you need to, even if that reduces reported reserves. The firm is small, which comes with its own risks, but also means that even small acquisitions can be meaningful here. It also makes it harder to find quality research, which is one reason this piece is worth a look. I found out about this via Interactive Brokers "Daily Lineup"
