Vitam regit fortuna, non sapientia

Vitam regit fortuna, non sapientia
I have a 5 year old son. He had a friend over last Saturday and they were quietly playing Lego on the floor of my home office. As I was typing away on the keyboard I overheard them talking about their preschool class. Their nonsensical conversation reminded me of some of the gibberish that clueless malcontents spew on these forums. An informative idea exchange is turned into an insolent idiot intercourse. It is to laugh.

It's cause for one to wonder why, after viewing Friday's news or "diet" news release as it were, just what the exchange was thinking. Frenetic day aside, it appears my earlier belief that the exchange brain trust is thinking that this is a potential high global visibility and highly promotable opportunity for the exchange and it's in house services. Apparently in wanting to avoid any possible controversy it made the company turn a potentially explosive news release into a copy of the weather report. What gives ? On closer examination one could deem that probably with the first set of assays an allowance will be made for the company to promo properly and build the story of the discovery of the century. Is it too early for the grandiose ? No not really. It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes nor anyone with half a brain to see that the core photos strategically released the previous evening, we're part of the plan. Those with keen eye and good judgment know full well they pointed to a discovery of major proportion. When considered with historical records, known information from the September 2nd release as an example, and other public information, the evidence is glaring if not retina burning. Those 3 piece suited mayors of mining town, the big wheels with the big money. We know they are watching closely, we know they know. Oh they do.

How can we be so sure you no doubt ask ? Much material exists to prove up the pount. I would encourage you to start at and delve deeply into the SS historical data. When I first encountered GGI as a situation and had opportunity to review the historical data. It convinced me on the evidence therein alone that something special was existing in situ. Seeking further confirmation, I referred that and the rest of the data to a geologist friend for review. It was her comments on the posted core photos and one of her comments to me that in particular summed up things nicely. "The photos tell her of an impending high grade discovery confirmation. As for her comment on the drilling, "prove one anomaly, prove a deposit". Simply by matching magnetic signatures the field geologists will extrapolate the existing data (old and new) to generalized examples inbred on the other three anomolies. Leading to the near guaranteed assumption of a very large and robust complex of highly premium mineralized pods surrounded by better than average graded halos that overall is many many square kilometers in size. Now I do realize of course it would be more difficult and more complex than her statement, to "prove any deposit up" and as we understand the real meaning behind it was two fold. One, that similar magnetic signatures in each anomaly could save many exploration dollars if one of them was to shown to be economic. Two, if by using the existing data and implementing it in the equation with new results to come. One could extrapolate an approximate tonnage model and average grades estimation that was reliable enough to assess a base line value with. This I believe is coming within the next 6-8 weeks.

What then ? Surely argument for JV/equity stake / but out ?. Too soon ? Not enough data ? No one will take the chance ?. Silly arguments all. Albeit I will say this the earliest it's recognized to the satisfaction of the corporate wizards it's "economic". The race will begin. This is not 1995 technology in play here, the minds present on site are also nickel Knights from the castle Voisey. Well experienced. The companies know the longer they wait for GGI to prove up to the max, the more the cost to acquire rises and the more the risk of a the spectre of a bidding war (the acquisitors biggest concern) is raised. Certainly this early take out effort does not preclude or prevent a handsome return on investment or a prevention of said bidding war. The shareholders simply can't lose here. Like having ringside seats to Ali/Foreman. But you share in the purse.

Take a Vale for instance. Experienced in the previous suction of Voisey Bay with an albeit overhang of overpayment. Sure. That overpayment was also effected by and has to be factored with , governmental delays, infrastructure construction and metals pricing drags. In the case of Nickel Mountain. Infrastructure exists very close by, ports, power, and population are within reasonable and cost effective access. Then there's the three "T" s of territory, tenor and tonnage, in a mining friendly climate with huge overall area to work with. Without doubt this discovery will have all three "T" s in possible other worldly amounts. Even at average grades with huge tonnage numbers, the acquisitors will be looking at earnings, dividends and well managed profits for potentially double that of Sudbury. 200 years ? So yes early take out to control the asset is in the plan, but cost to acquire is down the list, with earnings and potential profit of that duration twinkling in the forefront of their minds. More than meets the eye here and much more to consider than just the daily stock gyrations.

I had an interesting exchange a few weeks ago with a mining industry executive. We talked about the industry in general and on the subject of Nickel and Nickel mining. One of the interesting items he mentioned was that the 2 largest Nickel mines on the planet are generally regarded as unreliable as to quality of content and guarantee of consistent supply. Furthermore the industry has had little reliable supply come on or coming on stream in the next few years. Not to flog the horse, but knowing these things really does add to the mystique of things. Where our retail due diligence is a scratch of the surface. The ability of the big integrateds is far and away more detailed in scope and substance than we could do. They know exactly what is and what is not. Still, knowing the depth of due diligence undertaken by them further accentuates the whole perfect storm scenario for the Nickel Mountain project.

What of GGI as a company ? Will they bundle the property up and sell to the highest bidder. Or the whole company ? Use the funds to exploit the remaining properties ? Or take the money and retire ? These options remain to be seen. Each have their pros and cons. One theme that runs concurrent is that we as shareholders will profoundly benefit no matter the outcome. They say "life moves at you fast". If that's the case we should all be prepared for the speed, the intensities of emotions, the blur which is about to besiege us.
