What Will The Next 3 Weeks Bring? Fun times to be had in the South of France. Hopefully they have a service rig on location soon. Typically newly cemented casing needs some time to set up. My experience is to leave a well alone after rig release for at least 5 days before starting completion Ops. If weather is good (today expecting a couple mm's of rain but looking good after that) the deepest zone in the well could be perf'd later on this week. They may want to do an extended pressure buildup on the zone to get a good initial pressure (important for testing - an accurate starting point is critical). Then if the zone is deemed productive enough - open it up and flow it for a few days to do a multi-point isochronal test. It may take all of 25 days to hear news about the deepest zone let alone the other one. Also, keep in mind it's a 3050m deep well...and it's in France...things will take longer.
...and they might actually elect a Socialist President today during a period of economic and energy security turmoil! Nobody will ever accuse the French of not being strange - they do love Jerry Lewis after all.
