Recent News Graphene aluminum-ion batteries offer significant advantages in terms of battery safety, recyclability, and longer battery life with almost no degradation in performance. One of the companies working on this who has my attention is GMG GMG.v
On Monday they gave an update on their Battery Development Centre.
Highlights
- Board approved an additional AU $600k to accelerate the progress of semi-automatic pouch cell prototype production in the BDC for customer trials and battery cell development
- Increased its organizational capacity by attracting new staff experienced in pouch cell manufacturing (enabling the acceleration of its battery performance optimisation programme)
The CEO recently mentioned in an interview that if GMG does some type of FID in 2023 and then begins production in 2024, it would become some of the fastest battery tech to market in history! Will be watching to see if this comes to fruition.
