I'd hate to see this happen....Montalva has been trying to get final approval to build for something like 9 years now. With the RFP a brand new project can come along, apply before May 3rd and be approved in October.... 6-8 months later. Not years...months. Meanwhile we're still stuck in "limbo" or maybe a lawsuit, watching the bulldozers go by.
Late friday or saturday PREPA should reveal their "methodology" for choosing the 150. Hopefully this gives us some clarity on which path we'll be on.
As much as I would hate to accept defeat and a lower valuation under the RFP, the constant news flow Montalva would generate as we progress through the RFP approval process would be a steady boost to the shareprice compared to extended delays from a legal battle with no guarantees of a positive outcome.
It's perhaps a short sited view considering Greenbriar would be battling over a 25+ year PPOA contract, but seeing new projects get built before us would be infuriating.
