RE:RE:RE:RE:Duffman

RE:RE:RE:RE:Duffman20+ years ago, this site was occupied mostly by serious investors, as few people had online investment accounts, so really had no interest in the stock market. But once anyone with a few hundred bucks could get a low-commission trading account, every tom dyck and harry suddenly became a stock guru. Trouble was, 99% of them had no idea what the term "DD" meant, so just thought that spewing verbal diarrhea could be called "research". And if you dared tried to counter the garbage, out came the personal attacks.

In the beginning, the moderators did a reasonable job of policing the site, although they did let one notorious con artist, going by the alias of 'coffintrader', continue a running con game even after many serious investors told Stockhouse what he was up to. Eventually, the ASC charged the guy with trading offenses, and only then did Stockhouse act. Ever since then, things around here seem to have only deteriorated to the sad state of affairs we now find ourselves mired in.

I have suggested many times that they get their act together, clean up this site, and return it to the real investors it is supposed to serve. To date, it seems those suggestions have fallen on deaf ears. But, it is probably too late anyway, as it appears that real investors are outnumbered many times over, and cleaning up the garbage would drastically reduce the member count, which I assume would affect their advertising revenue. Kindof a Catch 22.

I am going to do my best to return this board to a more serious tone. The time I took to figure out the confusion over the water rights was my attempt to begin that process. Thanks for listening.
