NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

https://www.tehachapinews.com/news/water-district-s-suit-against-city-still-waiting-for-judge-s-decision/article_1cf5e46a-16f1-11ef-b0d4-47f2097cd8ef.html

There was no news last week from Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Stephen Acquisto on a dispute over the city’s approval of the proposed Sage Ranch subdivision. As of mid-afternoon Monday, the court website had not published a decision.

At a May 15 meeting of the Tehachapi-Cummings County Water District Board of Directors, General Manager Tom Neisler said the judge has 90 days from the hearing date to make a decision.

So far, there has been no evidence of construction activity in the area, and a date for a planned groundbreaking has not been made public. The company has set up a new website for the project, sageranchhomes.com. At some time since the new website was launched in mid-April the estimated homeowners association fees increased from $125 per month to $180 per month. Prices for the homes have not been released.

An extra $180/month on top of your mortgage is not insignificant.
And what will the final price of the homes actually be? Building costs continue to rise with every delay, as does the cost of putting in the infrastructure. JMO

Until those HOA fees are formally released putting numbers out there for the entire project is misleading. The single family dwellings will have a much cheaper HOA fee then the aprtments and paired homes. The apartment and paired homes HOA will have to include a funding reserve being built for maintenance and repairs to the actual buildings. This would include roofing, sidings, windows, etc.
