And sadly one year later here we sit! Head bottlewasher looking pretty smug about the Water District chances of winning! What a complete waste of a year!

In the end, the Water District may indeed not be able to stop the development of the Sage Ranch land. The only question is, who will develop it? What the Water District might be able to do is delay it long enough that GRB is no longer capable of making it work. After all, according to their financials, they have a rather large current account deficit, and no cash. The clock is ticking. JMO

The Water District objective is not to stop Sage Ranch. The Water District is working to have the City work within an attainable growth rate that will ensure there is the properly allocated water availbility for all of its customers. Once again the "bull in a china shop" attitude has come back to haunt GRB shareholders. In order to provide all the services the City feels they need ...more

" The Water District objective is not to stop Sage Ranch. " I didn't say it was. But if the Water District wants the city to grow at a sustainable rate, that is exclusive of such a large development.

What makes you think this project will get started never mind end with the WD?   Who ordained SR to be successful real estate project?  Jeff and da boys.   Established real estate companies run by proven winners, are crashing into bankruptcy every day of the week.  And in 100x better locations than Tehachapi. Do you think T residents and residents from around that ...more

Well, where that block of land sits does make sense for development, but it is all about scale and timeline. Building 1000 homes in 6 years ony made sense when trying to calculate how much money GRB could make, it didn't make sense as for what the city actually needed. If it was developed over 20 years or so, it might work, just not for GRB shareholders.

I agree. The only objective currently for Greenbriar is the approval to construct for either Sage Ranch or Montalva. Approvals for Sage Ranch mean that VOYA may be willing to loan the $12M secured on the entire property but also means 50% (guesstimate) will be fed back to deficits. I would really like to see the language in the VOYA agreement. I liked Jeff's comment in the video that the bank ...more

Good that Jeff has clarified the payables picture. I'll have to see a VOYA NR with my own eyes before I believe a word about them providing a loan.  Show us where the demand is for this project built by GRB or anyone else.   300 reservations is probably how many went to the sales office for a look-see for curiosity and iced tea, lol  A project like this financed solely ...more
