RUSORO ANNOUNCES FILING NON-BINDING INDICATION OF INTEREST

Comment by mrmoribund on Jan 23, 2024 8:33pm
This has much to do with why I'm much more comfortable owning GRZ than Rusoro--even though Rusoro appears to have more per share % upside on the completion of this process. With GRZ I'm comfortable the proceeds will be for the benefit of shareholders. With Rusoro I suspect the proceeds will be for the aggrandizement of Agapov's ego. While there will suddenly be much cash on the ...more

I partly agree . Among the long series of risks to be considered, the last one was  as a retail small investor what chance we have to have the whole or part of the award in hands. I hope we wont see any awful trick in the end, just like in an overcomplicated end  scenario in a hollywpod movie.

GRZ has said since the original arbitration they'd give the majority of any award to the share holders.  They did exactly that several years ago on the partial payments. If things play out as expected, the company should net about $750 million from the Crystallex case. It's reasonable for them to hold back, say, $100 million to continue operations (and further arbitration) which ...more

Thanks for your thougjts!  Could you link any article about what other litigation or claim GRZ has? So your plan is to wait till the end of the auction pricess, get any payback from that as a shareholder in qmy form (not realizing the profit by selling the stock) , and hold the share after that through the next years.

:-). Slappyjo, I teally appreciate your contribution and help here . May.I.ask, what other stries are that you follow, or which special share that you buy, or hold? Just hunting good ideas. Br.

Nothing special. I have GRZ since 2008 and recently bought RML as the litigation in the USA started to go in favor of the creditors. I have a couple of others: TQQQ, AMZN, GOOG.  I have ETFs in the S&P and Russell 2000.

When the deal settles it looks like shareholders of GRZ get whatever cash is distributed plus the shares which would have a claim on 45 percent of the property as agreed between the Govt of Venezuela and GRZ towards building the mine rich in gold and copper..As a shareholder I will gladly take my payment and hold on to the shares which could be worth a tidy sum in the future once the mine is ...more

Agreed.  After getting our distribution, we'll keep our shares and the company should pursue arbitration for the Joint Venture that was expropriated - better than actually building a mine.  Either way, it'll take years.  Best case would be for someone to buy our interest which would be the quickest way out for investors.   I'm not interested in waiting another ...more

I have read on ceo.ca an interesting thought on the way RML could even double of the value of its claim, as the auction may go on a significamt discount. SixBottles is the poater
