Guanajuato Silver Company Ltd. is a Canada-based precious metals producer engaged in reactivating past producing silver and gold mines in central Mexico. The Company produces silver and gold concentrates from the El Cubo Mines Complex (El Cubo), Valenciana Mines Complex (VMC), and the San Ignacio mine (San Ignacio); all three mines are located within the state of Guanajuato. Additionally, the Company produces silver, gold, lead, and zinc concentrates from the Topia mine in northwestern Durango. The Company conducts business through its four operating mines and three processing facilities.

Mining Reform Law is Great!

Reforms to Mexico’s mining law limit harmful practices by extractive industries and improve protections for the environment and Indigenous peoples. But they’re also a far cry from the change activists had been hoping for.
Under the new reform, Indigenous communities will receive 5% of a mining operation’s profits. The maximum lifespan of mining concessions is also reduced from 100 years to 80.

Do some research before posting false statements! Do you think 80 years is not enough for a mine life? LOL :)
