RE: RE: RE: Assay due "well before the end of May" At $200/meter all inclusive they got a good deal. I think it's understating the price, but that will come clearer when the 43-101 drill report is written and filed for assessment (public viewing). With respect to your theory, it's the opposite actually. It's the volcanics that have had localized, disseminated pyrite and gold distributed throughout the rock. I suspect the source of the mineralization was some deep-seated magma associated with the emplacement of the Terrace Bay batholith, as the mineralization spread throughout both rock types (volcanics and felsic intrusive) during this emplacement period. Subsequent folding of the these rocks, caused weak points along the contact zone (500 meters either side) which resulted in fractures and breaks (longer fractures). High-silica rich fluids containing concentrated mineralization (gold and base metals) filled these breaks and solidiffied into quartz veins, but these were later events. I would not use the word 'veinlets' to describe them, as veinlets are micro-sized veins and on their own, have no value. It is the larger veins such as the two they are drilling that will add ounces (not tonnage). It is the volcanics, with the lower grade gold, that will add tonnage. The veins themselves would not likely make a mine, but the widespread mineralization in the host rocks could. That is what they are after in the Afric zone. I believe if you called the company to discuss this, they would concur.
