News or Buyout Strategy

There may very well be news out soon as it is due. However, the recent significant accumulations with very strange bid and ask makes me wonder if it is in preparation for a buyout offer. There is little doubt the SP is being held down. Any potential buyer does not want another VEN scenario where irrational exuberance pumps the price up. Unless we get to the $5 range as a base, in my humble opinion a buyout will not exceed that amount. The new ministers of mining and environment are very investor friendly which is great news for the investment community. There should not be any impediments for someone like Batista to move quickly at this time, in fact there is no merit for him to wait. He would get a resource about the size of VEN and eliminate the irritant of GWY's two tracts through VEN territory. A few more decent drill results and Batista will lose the advantage of an artificially low SP. I would love to be a fly on the wall in the GWY boardroom.

IMO, if there was an offer of that magnitude or any other price out there we would have seen a lot more volume and greater s/p by now. No offence to anyone, but judging by past performance this thing is as leaky as the Titanic.

I wouldn't even entertain the thought of a buyout before a resource estimate is released. Either way looks like Credit Suisse is on another buying spree today, given the article posted on here yesterday, that can only be a good thing.

Let's face it, we are the last to know anyway. No news and extreme high powered buying spurts with no news, something is up. The Titanic was hit by an iceburg, you need to watch out for the Eikeburgs!

Having just one "Eikeburg" to hit you you never know if you'll end UP or DOWN.When you have one dominant player he can send the SP up or down as he wants. For GWY shareholders would be better to get yet another party willing to buy GWY Columbia projects, in other words calling Batista to save the day won't do us any good.I really hope that some other resource investment company or ...more

Over 3 million shares and rising at $1.45 is quite an expensive pump and dump is it not. No, i still think something else is going on here!
