While we wait..........

About 10 or so yers ago, my wife got a hot tip from her haiirdresser and bought a pile of shares in a Company called Comcorp

I called her crazy and subjected her to the appropriate ammount of ridicule. Predictably, their value after a few weeks shrank to nearly zero but stayed on her statement. About 7 years later I noticed they had been bought by a company called  Totom Mining which later morphed into Wildcat Mining who subsequently spun off one free share of Ventana for every one of Wildcat. Of course, the rest is history.

She then sank all her profits into Galway and now considers herself an expert trader which makes it very difficult to have a sensible conversation with her on investment strategy.

I am sure there is a moral to this story but exactly what it is escapes me!!.

Geef...awesome post!  I am the investment guru in my house.  Since 2008 I went from zero to hero.  Now that the market has pulled back about 35% and my portfolio isn't 7 figures my partner is telling me that I should listen to him....lol.  Yeah, I think I'll sell here...Iol.  In 12 months this will be an insignificant bump in the road.  GWY is a homerun.  ...more

Hi Atheena.   Gwy has indeed some serious problems with information on the dalay of producing a timely 43-101 Report. The resons must be, in my oppinion, important or the management  would not risk of not being transparent. Delay itself is at this time rally not harmful since the season for Buy-outs is prsently not in vouge, whereas the drillings are in operation providindg more than ...more

nobody leaked in late 2011 that the 43 101 wouldbe delayed.   it didnt happen.  they are late because they want as many drill results included as is possible.   wouldnt any sane person.  it costs millions to drill....and the drills are to prove up reserves......and reserves are what you take to the bank via your 43 101. there is no takeover.  bautista has a lot ...more

they are late because they want as many drill results included as is possible.   Sure,  but why not release the results of the drilling prior to the resource estimate?  Nearly five months have elapsed since the last drill results from California.  A steady stream of drill results would allow a better read on the results of the resource estimate.    I'm starting to ...more

I agree with you. However, the market now is for sometimes is punishing all miners as they stressed most of them to lowest price for almost over 50% lower or more than the normal price.   They are trying to kill the market and at the same time they collecting shares for very low price and you will see sudden rise and they will make up all the money they lost with all the mortgage losses ...more

In reading all the various scenarios put forward by posters, the only thing that does not fit in my mind is the degree of diligence and effort to manipulate and range bind the SP.  I think we are all missing something.
