Brass Tax.

"so Bac0n when should I buy back into HIVE?"
"so Bac0n should I buy back into HIVE? or pivet to other bitcoin companies?"
"so Bac0n has bitcoin peaked?"

these are just some of the private messages ive been getting, so let me address these questions,

Buying back into HIVE I think has pros and cons.. some of the pros is that HIVE seems slightly less volatile to the ups and downs of Bitcoin. However the gains HIVE can have is very limited. and barely ever breaks $3 for long, as ive said at length HIVE is overvalued due to its high share dilution activties with 350,000,000 shares outstanding.

Buy into HIVE or BITF, HUT, RIOT etc? Personally I like BITF and HUT the best, they are running the best and most profitable operations at this time, HIVE mining Etherum didnt have a significant jump (or any jump at all really) after ETH hit all time highs again. This is concerning, as I see HIVE as exposure to Eth. But the market seems to disagree.

and the million dollar question.. has Bitcoin found bottom? or did it peak at 40K and we will never see that again?
I think we havent found bottom yet, and I think Bitcoin will continue its upward rise eventually. the most conservative estimates predicted Bitcoin to hit at least 50 - 60K USD. and some banks JP Morgans among others have predicted up to 300K Bitcoin.
So I find it hard to rationalize that we topped at 40K

hope this answers some of the questions ive been asked.

I dont know if this is the bottom but the probability of slipping lower is low. We could see as low as 28k USD but trying to time the market that perfectly is not worth my time. As per bacons point about HIVE. I agree, its the least volatile because its such a large boat to move. Its probably going to be the slowest horse in the next leg up. Might see 100% gains but I can see HUT doing 300% and ...more

so to be clear AlphaJ, are you in favour of buying back in at this point? or are you still going to give it a day or two and see? from my perspective im still unsure, I agree we could slip another 2 - 3K at least. -Bac0n

I've taken some position in hut and dmgi. The problem is, today is Thursday. So tomorrow will be critical. If it goes lower it could be over the weekend. By Monday we could be back to mid 30s. So I'm starting my buy in now. If I loose another 10% in the next day, no biggie. I just saved 30-40% drop which is like what, about 80% on the upside. Im feeling good here.

Hey Bac0n, it seems like you have a high reputation on here.  I was looking at HIVE too and bought a few shares.  I bought a lot into HUT (1600 @ $6.84) and BITF (3350 @ $4.49).  I know I bought them at high prices, but I am not sure what to do at this point.  What are your thoughts??
Comment by BasebaIIfury on Jan 21, 2021 6:52pm
I am of the opinion that bitcoin will recover. If I were you I would continue to hold. Maybe add some stop losses to limit your potential downside. but both HUT and BITF are solid bitcoin mining companies. If bitcoin gets back to 39K or more.(which I think it will) You should be able to break even, or even squeak out a profit.  it Sucks being in the red, but that's part of the game.& ...more

Thanks, very sweet of you to offer your insight.  I don't want to get too "greedy", so I'll take any profits or break even.  When do you predict hut/Bitf will make recoveries?  Are we talking months or years?

BasebaIIfury, why did you sign Bac0n to your response to Vanessa1990?

AlphaJ, what is your issue?  I asked a very general question.  I'm also on yahoo finance posting quite a bit as I want to learn more.   I know you have a high reputation as well, so feel free to give me tips/advice as that's what I honestly need...

Hi Vanessa. You're new here so let me explain the dynamics of this board. Anyone who praises Bac0n everyone assumes it's just Bac0n on another account he created. I like Bac0ns advice so I praise him. And everyone assumes I'm just another one of Bac0ns aliases.  So I own it and just sign "-Bac0n" AlphaJ also thinks "Trunp Savage" and a handful of other users ...more

first of all V, no-one praises anyone on this board. 2 bac0n has like 5 accounts and that talk amongst themselves. 3 Bac0n always says he predicted it after the fact but he gets it wrong 90% of the time. He's a weird dude. And now your a new account praising bac0n. Thats suspicious.
Comment by Vanessa1990 on Jan 22, 2021 12:11am
I honestly don't see the gain in doing that nor am I saying anything to offend others.  I am new and I am checking other boards I've invested in to get insight and hopefully learn from those who have a higher reputation.  I read some of bacon's comments and he seems to know the market quite well.   If you want to give me insight based on what I've invested in, I ...more
