Former Pornhub star Mia Khalifa has railed against a "crime against humanity" following a major fire and riot at a notorious hellhole prison in Iran, which left four dead and 61 injured.
Late last night (Saturday, October 15) videos shared on social media showed flames and smoke coming off Evin prison in Tehran.
Gunshots could also be heard, and reports started to trickle in of clashes between the inmates and guards.
The facility is where the despotic Iranian regime sends most of its political prisoners.
Last month massive protests erupted across the country following the death of Mahsa Amini, 22, in police custody.
Officials said that Mahsa, who was arrested for not wearing a hijab, died of a heart attack. Her family and campaigners say she was beaten to death by the regime's morality police.
Although it remains unclear whether yesterday's riot is linked, hundreds of anti-government protestors have been sent to Evin prison in recent weeks.
Lebanese-American OnlyFans model Mia shared footage on Twitter that appeared to show Iranians blocking the roads to the prison, thus preventing security forces from quelling the uprising.
Mia has been a vocal supporter of the Iranian protestors and did not hold back when slamming Evin prison for keeping them locked up.
She wrote: "This prison is where they hold political prisoners, protesters, and freedom fighters.
"This is a CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY and if you’re not talking about [it] you don’t deserve to walk around with the freedoms you take for granted every day."
Iran's state-run news agency IRNA suggested that the prison riot was not linked to the recent protests, quoting an official who blamed "criminal elements" for the fire.
However, The Daily Mail reported that inmates were seen on top of the jail chanting "death to the dictator" - a rallying cry used in recent weeks.

IRNA initially claimed that eight people were injured during the riot, and none killed. However, the state agency has now said that four people were killed and 61 injured.
According to the BBC, fires were still raging around the prison grounds after Iranian officials declared the situation under control.
Evin prison is where British-Iranian Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was locked up on false spying charges.
