- The existing original relationship w HPQ is to develop a process to give more value to the quartz to high purity silicon..
- Now we have developed into this relationship which is to take the silicon from that process and developing further which is now silicon nano-powders which is highly sought after by the Battery Industry bc if you can do it economically enough you should be able to increase the capacity of the battery by 10x and the energy density by 20-40% which is huge that is what the battery industry is looking for.
- We believe by using a slight adjustment to the current reactor which btw is more IP, we will be able to do this quite effectively!
- This particular contract right now is to effectively to develop a process to do that and then to develop it to the extent it can produce about 3.5tons/year just to begin with which is very commercial ! It is very scalable...unlike other technologies which other people are working on difficulties in scalibility, whereas ours is extremely scalable!
- The market plays are not insignificant , it currently is about $40Billion USD and will double to about $95Billion USD by 2025 so we are very excited to able to provide our expertise in plasma to solve one of the puzzles currently facing the battery industries. We are very excited about it!
- Regarding anticipated revenues for the year w the backlog of contracts. We can only reference with our backlog which is about $40Million , 90% will run thru our balance sheet for the next 12 mths. So we are looking good for the year. EPS guidance is about 10-11 cents , we did 4 cents Q2 and looking at 6 cents for Q3 so right now about 11 cents for the total year. So we are quite excited about that.
