Alternate Symbol(s):  HPQFF

HPQ Silicon Inc. (HPQ) is a Canada-based technology company specializing in green engineering of silica and silicon-based materials. The Company is engaged in developing, with the support of technology partners PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (PyroGenesis) and Novacium SAS, new green processes to make the critical materials needed to reach net zero emissions. Its activities are centered around the three pillars: becoming a green low-cost (Capex and Opex) manufacturer of Fumed Silica using the Fumed Silica Reactor, a proprietary technology owned by HPQ being developed for HPQ by PyroGenesis; becoming a producer of silicon-based anode materials for battery applications with the assistance of Novacium SAS, and Novacium SAS is engaged in developing a low carbon, chemical base on demand and high-pressure autonomous hydrogen production system. The Company operates in a single operating segment, segment, being the sector of the transformation of quartz into silicon materials and derivative products.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Great AGM

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Great AGMChina makes lots of batteries.....

We buy lots of chinese batteries.....

Who here asks if the chinese batteries are made with respect to patent law before they uy them at half the cost?

We are talking about a patent process for making a commodity... Once it is a commodity, and also a high volume and readily available commodity, it is unlikely to be tracked by consumer to the source in any situation.

Cheers if there ever is a sale, with MAJOR return for shareholders, but my preference is decades of positive cashflow instead.

Cheers!

However on the flip side, the fact that something is "protected" by a patent often doesn't matter as its only paper. Try going after companies in certain jurisdictions which do not respect the rule of law.

Again, good point.

Snowdogy wrote: Once more, Bernard took a significant amount of time to assert that the real value in HPQ for shareholders is in the technology being developed and not so much in future production/sales of silicon nano particles. Of course, he can't say, "HPQ will be bought out" but the things he can say and did lead to the strong suggestion that he believes a buy-out to be very likely. He and the PYR CEO also downplayed any suggestion that PYR would take them out calling their deal a "poison pill" making a hostile take-over of HPQ Nano unlikely. I suspect that once the technology is proven beyond a doubt that PYR will pull the trigger on their option to be a 50% owner of HPQ Nano and then our subsidiary, HPQ Nano will be sold with its technology and patents to the highest bidder and instantly make that buyer the leading nano silicon supplier to batteriy manufacturers not to mention other downstream companies in need of silicon. We shareholders will dance in the streets when that happens IMHO.

yes there will be a buyout but if you think PYR will sit back and let some foreign entity have access to its technology while it owns 50% of it think again.  I highly doubt Peter is going to allow that to happen for all we know there are a lot of trade secrects built into purevap nano that have a direct correlation to other PYR projects to allow another outside company to have access to to that information would bot be wise IMHO.
