HPQ Silicon Inc V.HPQ

Alternate Symbol(s):  HPQFF

HPQ Silicon Inc. (HPQ) is a Canada-based technology company specializing in green engineering of silica and silicon-based materials. The Company is engaged in developing, with the support of technology partners PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (PyroGenesis) and Novacium SAS, new green processes to make the critical materials needed to reach net zero emissions. Its activities are centered around the three pillars: becoming a green low-cost (Capex and Opex) manufacturer of Fumed Silica using the Fumed Silica Reactor, a proprietary technology owned by HPQ being developed for HPQ by PyroGenesis; becoming a producer of silicon-based anode materials for battery applications with the assistance of Novacium SAS, and Novacium SAS is engaged in developing a low carbon, chemical base on demand and high-pressure autonomous hydrogen production system. The Company operates in a single operating segment, segment, being the sector of the transformation of quartz into silicon materials and derivative products.

RE:RE:New HPQ Silicon Agoracom Interview

RE:RE:New HPQ Silicon Agoracom Interview@ordos Here is a little summary:

Fumed Silica

* QRR had supply issues for materials that's why it was important to emphasize that all parts are on site, there are no issues with supplies and inventory, period
* We are in discussions with multiple parties. Once we start the machine the discussions are going to change, it's a "show me" moment. Once pilot plant is up and running and producing commercial grade fumed silica, the "80-90%" negotiating power swings HPQ way. It's better to partner up earlier
* Some potential investors on the sidelines are saying we still have time to wait to invest at lower level, you may want to think again
* The disruptive numbers publicized so far are from lab scale machine, those numbers will get even better with pilot and commercial scale
* Pyrogenesis is super motivated to bring this together and launch
* Europe is a big market for fumed silica and with the "carbon bomb" imminent and the big manufacturers will see their already low 20% margin shrink significantly. They are getting really motivated in jumping on this sooner, rather than later
* Merchant banks showing interest, they are interested in investing (not FOMO shares buying)

@ordos Battery Materials

* Things are accelerated, timelines are expected to shorten There are just a few manufacturers of silicon material for batteries located mostly in China. Maybe two or three in NA or EU, huge reshoring advantage for HPQ.
* Eastern NA green energy advantage and key ingredient is energy
- Hydro electricity
- Carbon capture with QRR
* Bernard is very busy lately, cannot even reply to some emails the same day
* "Carbon bomb" in Europe
* Silicon metal production is the largest emitter of CO2 per kg of material
* You essentially need to run your EV for 20+ years to offset the CO2 footprint of making that car. So reducing footprint for all your base ingredients is very important
* Conversations with industry participants often are around the carbon taxes and the green advantage of HPQ's materials
* Approached by gigafactory owners that say they would need 1000 tons of this material per year for their gigafactory(ies), how much can we offtake, these are the conversations now
* Deals could be made in advance of some gigafactories being finished in 1.5-2 years
* Graphite based lithium ion batteries are here to stay for many years to come
* 18650 battery type is very well known, used for many years, used in many EVs
* The fact that the degradation WITH the silicon follows the same or lesser degradation pattern as 100% graphite is very promising
* The next steps now how are we going to manufacture these materials, not even the cycles anymore
* 100, 300, 500 cycles are the next milestones
* This is just the first iteration of the material, Sila is at their 38,000-th iteration
* Looking at other variations of the materials to start iterations of each variation
* Looking to make physically bigger (than 18650 type) battery tests
* Key message: starting to come to full fruition, there is a lot of interest

@ordos For genuine shareholders, investors: feel free to add or correct any of my own summaries above, as I understood it from the latest video.

BCONTVentures wrote: Some great comments from ceo on the HPQ Silicon Agoracom interview:

@cashbag2.0 interesting,they capture the CO2 from the QRR,making CO2 free silicon,we knew they were working on that,did not know they achieve it.

@Brodeur9 @cashbag2.0 It's even more beautiful than that! We will certainly reduce the carbon footprint and the economic benefit associated with it. But as it concerns the carbon to be added to the silicon to process it carbonothermic, it allows us to reuse the carbon of the feedstock repeatedly, reducing the OPEX directly! And even more so the environmental footprint. "it will also incorporate a carbon recycling step that should also yield an additional significant reduction in feedstock usage." https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/hpq-purevap-qrr-usher-zero-113000153.html People just aren't ready for what's coming. Memory is a faculty that forgets, and trolls like to forget. I wouldn't complain about going over 550K shares. Let's see how much spam the comments will be buried with :)
