PDAC 2024: Junior miners see short-selling ‘epidemic’

Junior miners at this week’s Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention say recently proposed new rules about short-selling could help stem the bleeding in their stocks, which are especially vulnerable to the practice.

The January proposal by a Canadian regulator would apply to “hard-to-borrow” stocks like junior miners. Before shorting such securities, traders would be required to confirm there is stock available to borrow or the short sale would be prohibited.Link to complete article

Terry Lynch,,   Amazingly still cant find evidence after 5 years   Mining stocks  generating zero revenue for decades but its naked shorters to blame hahahahahaha

There should be an option when you buy any stock, to not giving permission for your shares to be used for any purpose... ...period ..The banks & brokers make big money from 'every' trade...This is what happens when you have the fox running the hen house....Since they removed the up-tick rule the pig's have been feasting at our expense , as usual !  $$$$  ..We will escape ...more

So in that link they talk about my stock CD ! Cantex ( Chuck also does MTX as well!) Both of those stocks been hit with short selling and pushing them down. As you can see shorts are up on CD.... 25 million shares of MTX dumped by ANON on other exchanges not the venture. So I know what it's like to be a victum. But how this goes for HPQ? I think if there even was lots of shorts they would ...more

MTX     So how much  revenue have then generated from mining in the last 20 plus years.....ZERO But But But   Its short sellers    Its 2 cents and you have been pumping this garbage since  50 cents

Oh we been through this dance before. Yes they did sell a property and made money. They also have some Juno shares worth 4 mil. As for production they said last agm they might be able get the SA mine into production quick and fast if they ever get a mining license... (and i have a love hate relationship with the stock not a pumper.) But that's not for this board... this is the HPQ board. Hpq ...more
