Not one, not two ... but
NINE products in the manufacture & development pipeline. All of them appear to be
classified under one umbrella as:
LP® FlameBlock® Fire-Rated OSB Sheathing Applications
The one that caught my eye, aside from the firewall assemblies, was #7 - California WUI (Wildland Urban Interface) Exterior Wall...if you bundle that to what has happened this past summer in the Sunshine state, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Oregon - there is a true sense of urgency amongst not only firefighters' globally, but insurance companies that have to deal with the soaring costs of property loss insurance - this one appears to address
this massive void almost exclusively.
This product pipeline represents BILLIONS of $$$'s in market share - that is priceless.
The full line-up of where you may think LP: (Louisiana Pacific) <LPX: NYSE> is heading with this process is
contained in the link above. However, the prime consideration here should be that Barrier has the exclusive
global rights to their PYROTITE product - which is now being provided to LP in a supply agreement for their
LP® FlameBlock® Fire-Rated OSB Sheathing Applications.
The question is, at what point does this become a take-out target ?
