(IBI - TSX Venture), ("IBI" or the "Company"), a junior international mining and investment company, has appointed David K. DuVal as director of marketing and sales, which is a new IBI management position. Mr. DuVal, who has been IBI's director of marketing since 2002, now assumes additional responsibilities for developing worldwide sales of the company's vermiculite products. David K. DuVal has extensive experience in branding, strategic market planning and management, positioning, communications, and sales. As an independent consultant he was responsible for strategic marketing, communications planning, and creative development for the United States' largest builder of adult communities. In his role as the chief branding officer for a world-renowned services organization, he refocused and extended brand, brand messaging, extensions and client deliverables for vertical entries into new business venues. Mr. DuVal's background also includes four years as senior vice president for account services for a $220 million advertising and marketing agency in Phoenix, Arizona, at which he increased billings 30 percent in the first year. Prior to that he was president and creative director of his own advertising and public relations company at which he developed numerous mass market accounts and expanded billings an average of 55 percent for each year of operation. In making this announcement, Gary A.
