(IBR) is pleased to announce three new additions to our management team.
Mr. Richard Chase is IBR's new VP of Marketing and Sales. Mr. Chase has
noteworthy management and business experience across a broad sector of
industries serving domestic and international markets in both small and
corporate environments. He is co-founder of Consolidated EnviroWaste
Industries Inc., a North American organics processing and horticultural
products company that pioneered the development of several firsts in waste and
recycling management.
Mr. Chase was Chair of the Composting council of Canada for four years.
He is a registered Professional Engineer and has an MBA from the University of
Western Ontario.
Mr. Douglas Querns is IBR's new VP of Finance and Controller. With over
15 years of progressive experience in Finance and accounting, including the
last 8 years in technology companies, Doug is a significant addition to IBR.
He has spent six years as VP Finance and CFO at Biotech Holdings Inc. as well
as VP Finance at International Submarine Engineering.
Mr. Querns is familiar with financial management and controls in public
companies. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and an MBA from
the University of British Columbia. He earned his CGA in 1992.
Mrs. Klaudia Jurkemik, IBR's new Field Researcher/Plant Pathologist, has
a Master of Science degree in Agriculture and has eight years experience in
basic and applied research. Mrs. Jurkemik designed and carried out a number of
projects for the City of Vancouver, Simon Fraser University and the green
house industry in the Lower Mainland. She also worked for the BC Ministry of
Agriculture and Food as a Plant Disease Diagnostician, writing recommendations
for disease management and control.
The focus of Mrs. Jurkemik's work has been on host-pathogen interaction,
diagnosis of diseases and disorders on agricultural crops.
