IBR news release

IBR news releaseWednesday February 6, 8:14 pm Eastern Time Press Release SOURCE: International Bio-Recovery Corporation IBR North Vancouver down one week to complete bio-filter preconditioning equipment NORTH VANCOUVER, BC, Feb. 6 /CNW/ - On Tuesday January 26, 2002, IBR voluntarily complied with a request by the GVRD on January 15, 2002 to stop accepting waste and to complete the Bio-Filter preconditioning equipment installed in the waste gas pipeline to the Bio-Filters. Processing of material needs to be temporarily halted for work inside the packed towers to restore the tower media and showers to cool the gasses to the Bio-Filters to ensure maximum efficiency of their performance. Revisions to the sections of the recirculation pumps will also permit chemical addition to the recirculation waters to further off-load the duty of the bio-filters. IBR and the GVRD are confident that the concern for the environment by the new IBR management team will soon fully restore the excellent relationship of prior years. Work on the systems is expected to be complete Wednesday February 6, 2002, and after a successful trial period, production will be ramped up shortly thereafter. International Bio Recovery Corporation (www.ibrcorp.com) is an innovative environmental biotechnology company setting the global standard for the management of organic waste and the development of commercial microbial products to increase crop yields, prevent plant disease and dramatically reduce the world's agricultural dependence on chemicals. IBR is a publicly listed company trading on the Canadian Venture Exchange under the symbol IBR. On behalf of the Board, Elmer B. Friesen, P.Eng. Interim President & CEO
