The fertilizer program and the field tests, developed and organized by Dick Van Dyk, had to be implemented before a sales program could be cost effective. Unfortunately, the arrival on the scene of Frank Dixon, an individual with no sales expertise and an agenda that precluded any sales other than the sale of the company, set the company back a year.
