For instance, ICG had 9 weeks to decide which day would be best to air their drilling laundry. So which day do they pick? A dark, cloudy, and now 100% rainy day in the precious metals market.
This weather forecast was absolutely predictable, and its monsoon rains completely preventable by ICG management & IR.
Why? How? Well, one would think it would be best NOT to release news on a day when the FED is yapping about raising interest rates. That’s right, Gramma Yellen was blabbing this morning - again.
ICG management & IR can easily review the FED’s speaking engagements – i.e. do some serious weather forecasting already!
Look, it’s just not very smart to hold a garage sale in the rain – no matter how impressive your junk is...
ICG, after 9 weeks, you have to do better than this in the News Release timing department. It’s unfortunate that some chump on a bullboard has to point this out... I’ve got LOTS riding on this stock & take no pleasure in pointing out this obvious flaw.
Terrific news; terrible timing.
timing is only relevant to short-term traders who cant see past their own eyelids. For investors, its not so important. And companies dont release news depending on the economic 'weather conditions'.
