RE:Update is needed on several issues You had raised some good points, but you didn't get the fa ts straight. The company does not buy phosphate from Morocco, they buy it from local suppliers, aka neighbors, so they only pay the $110/ton, they produce sulfur, they had already produced it and they probably have some surplus to add to the purchased phosphate rock. SSP (19% phosphate) sells at $200/t as opposed to rock phosphate concentrate (30%-40% phosphate) which sells at $110-$130. Why should you ask the phosphate rock has a higher concentration but lower price? Because it needs to be treated before you can use it for the soil, like steel and iron ore. So relax and take the back seat and just imagine where we will be heading once everything is set in place.
