Bent over double......snowboarding vs investing

Bent over double......snowboarding vs investingwindy as stink up at Big White yesterday, most lifts on standby, had to bend over double on T Bar to the top. Not a lot of people out. Almost best day ever.

Got to thinking about how snowboarding can parallel investing.

If you don't know what you are doing....stay at home. Or if you are too dumb to check conditions before driving up...stay in your car in the parking lot.

As it is with investing...if you can't handle a bit of wind...stay in your GIC vehicle

One of my fave stocks is almost reaching BUY category again. 14% div triggers my BUY button. Really what could go wrong?
They could decide on stupidity like INP and start wasting shareholder $$$ buying back shares...14+% paid monthly is a nice cushion. Altho NCIB is an option, they haven't.
CEO has stated again and again...no to div cut. In the very unlikely case mngmnt did cut the div...SP would increase like ALA's did, shorters would be trapped and it's a capital gain along with a decent dividend...say 7%.
Otherwise it's 14+% paid monthly. That's what I'm doing with my money

I do realize there are dofuss investors out there that confuse book value with share price and likely when gold goes up $10/oz,,,runs around their house weighing up all their 10K gold jewellery ...I'm worth $2.50 more today. hence their name here.

My gold investing Co is seeing all time highs...4 last week

To each their own style of investing
