Volume Decrease, Price DecreaseThis is exactly what happens in any market, where there is supply and demand.
Take the housing market. When the volume of sales start decreasing, then the value of house prices start to decrease. In housing this takes months, but the value of the house, slowly starts decreasing and people end up having to sell their house for less than what people would have the year before. Incidently, in Canada, we are now at this point and you will slowly start to see house prices move the other way and that is down.
With the stock market it is the same. When the volume is high, the price of the stock increases, usually substantially, like what happened with INT. Now, the volume is not exactly drying up, but considerably lower than what it was a week or so ago. This stock has lost the emotional pull that was bringing investors in and it will slowly decrease, like it has been.
Not a basher, just an analysis!
