RE: what's the situation in Slocan? I think starting these mines up again is the best choice the company can make at this time. It will give them much needed cash flow for the day to day operations plus, financing the additional exploration they want to do on these properties and others. I for one don't want to see a float with 300-400 million shares in it. that would only limit our upside potential. ie: Kinross ...... Cashflow is King.

Klondike to feature Sandon in exploration season
2004-03-03 15:09 ET - News Release
Mr. Richard Hughes reports
Klondike Gold intends to feature its Sandon silver properties in central British Columbia in the upcoming exploration season. The overall Sandon silver camp has produced 69.53 million ounces of silver with an average grade of 13.8 ounces per ton. The company owns six former-producing Sandon silver mines, including a fully operational and fully permited 100-ton-per-day mill for processing ore from the mines. These six properties collectively have produced 13.9 million ounces with an average grade of 13.21 ounces per ton. As there is considerable exploration potential to the properties, the company will be prioritizing drill targets for the summer drilling season.
Former mines owned by the company include the Silvana, Van Roi, Hewitt, Arlington, Hinkley and Wonderful. In 2000, the company mined a 3,500-tonne bulk sample and processed it through the Sandon mill in order to evaluate its performance and was pleased with the 91-per-cent recovery.
The Silvana mine is permited for production. An underground drilling program on the Silvana property is planned. This drilling will focus on areas that can provide additional resources readily accessible for the near-term production.
Dr. Trygve Hoy will be in charge of the exploration program for 2004 and will prioritize drill targets.
