for rogers@home users
for rogers@home usersI'm in Vancouver and rogers has been down for days for most of B.C. I finally found and installed a free phone internet service provider to tide me over and keep for emergency later on. I use TD webbroker so I need to be on line to trade. This ISP has no advertising bar and I get on first try every time. Has it's own e-mail. It co-exists with rogers@home and it automatically resets the internet settings for it to operate when you click on it. Your computer automatically resets to rogers setting on reboot. I simply made a shortcut for my desktop and use that to go on line. It has saved my butt. To go back to, or see if, rogers is back running simply go to: tools-internet opions-connection tab-then click on never dial a connection. Next go to file and uncheck work offline. It may be slower than rogers but it's working and right now rogers isn't. Besides it is a great backup for further disruptions. All the best for B.C.ers who are going through hell trying to trade online.
