The latest news release from UBS about 'divesting' was so bizarre, that were it not for the fact that UBS Investor Relations have already acknowledged it, I would have suspected some prankster of having put the news release out on the net. How could they do this, after all the glowing reports, promises and hopes for the future? How could they just turn on a dime, and announce that they are selling off their core assets for a song? The point made about the contradictory nature of recent statements from UBS (with regards to LOOK requiring UBS' equipment) also points to the bizarre nature of this recent development. It certainly would be interesting to hear their explanations of their actions, but I suppose we will have to wait months before the proper authorities sort this one out. What a mess.
