RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Article Hi everybody,
This is why I posted the article here. Thought it better to have reaction/conversation here as opposed to behind the scenes.
The announcement by LME a couple months ago was that USCG was engaged to support as a financial partner. The special committee was created to work with USCG to that effect. None of that has changed.
I read the announcement from USCG as the past 2 months executing due diligence on the company having resulted in a positive view. Positive enough to PR to their constituents that they are excited about the future with Laurion. USCG's timeline doesn't have to sync up with LME's in terms of PR so that's not weird. They don't need Laurion's permission to publish anything. They are a very large company with a lot of moving pieces. Publishing their love of LME is no small thing for such a company. Particularly the word "groundbreaking" got my attention.
I'm not in the M&A room but I am very confident that bringing the Ishkoday to production through financing is NOT a goal for Laurion. The amount of capital required, current rates, scarcity of lenders, time...... pick a reason. If Cynthia wants to turn the property into a mine on her own she needs another $150mm and a few dozen new partners. I don't see it.
What I do see is a legit hitter with industry relevant experience publishing an article to tell the world that Laurion is a real opportunity and the near term future has something groundbreaking in it. I like that. A lot.
Add that to what we know about Laurion, the quality of the team, Cynthia, the partners involved, the data, the climate for gold, economic uncertainty, existing infrastructure, assay results....... I don't see any news regarding this company this ISN'T universally positive.
I'm invested long up to my neck in LME and I've never been happier about it. This announcement is one that I align with and it boosts my confidence big time. I think of LME as dating USCG. It's assumed they like us but it does feel good to see them write it down.
It's a GREAT time to be an LME shareholder.
Hope that helps,
Steve
