The annual Mining conference is being held in Toronto at the convention

PDAC 2024: The World's Premier Mineral Exploration & Mining Convention is the leading event for people, companies and organizations connected to mineral exploration. Today, it is the event of choice for the world's mineral industry hosting more than 1,100 exhibitors and 700 speakers.

This annual convention in Toronto, Canada is known for attracting up to 30,000 attendees from over 130+ countries for its educational programming, networking events, outstanding business opportunities and fun.

I looked up the exhibitors and it doesn't seem that Laurion is listed. A number of other juniors are.
These conferences are typically social functions with parties each night. Money is splashed around by the big companies. There's usually a big dinner with a b-list comedians hosting. Then there's "The Tradeshow" day where everyone who wants people to see them gets a booth, people hand out info and cards and collect emails and social media of influential people to improve relationships.

Its an annual thing. With 30,000 people, it can only be hosted in Toronto. I don't think Montreal is big enough. Hotels will overflow. People with heavy beards arriving is pickup trucks from up north will abound.

Would anyone (Doug) know if Cynthia and team has ever participated?

That's what I was thinking. Just with different diction. Shes got more contacts than anyone. I think we're just waiting for the gold cycle to blossom so the money and the price/share offered is maximized. Just gotta be patient.

LME will not have a booth at the PDAC 2024 conference.  Cynthia has attended this conference many times over her career and has found that it is not money well spent.  She would rather spend money, time and attention on adding shareholder value and ultimately a strategic transaction.

Makes sense.   I often think of the folks who follow her on Linked in. CEO's and CFO's and UFO's from all over the industry. They know what's cookin. No need to setup a booth and hand out magnets and pens.

Does it make sense? I would argue that the press she got from her 2020 interview where she first outlined her goal of identifying 10M GEOS was money well spent as it probably let to a lot of investment and coverage. I would agree that it may not be worth it now, but never would the money... I would disagree.
